For instance, if a health system has recently implemented a new Epic Navigator or workflow, there may be an announcement or communication, accompanied by a tip sheet or video, in the Learning Home Dashboard of relevant users. Learning Home Dashboards commonly include how-to guides, tip sheets, training videos, important update communications and more. It is also referred to as the Epic F1 dashboard, as users can access their Learning Home Dashboard by pressing the F1 key. The Learning Home Dashboard is a central location for hosting important Epic content, help resources and communications. uPerform simplifies the creation and management of Learning Home Dashboards by enabl ing training teams to deliver role-based content to users from a single Learning Home Dashboard. While they can be a great way to i mprove access to important content and communications, managing numerous Learning Home Dashboards can be come crowded for end-users and time – consuming for training teams. Prerequisite: You must complete the Slicer Dicer virtual training to attend the Research Coordinator class.Many health systems are leveraging Learning Home Dashboards to deliver a better Epic® training experience to users.Research Coordinator Class: PennChart Training for Research Coordinators.Research Coordinator Access: For access to perform research functions (documenting, associating patients to studies, linking encounters to studies, manage My Studies) you need to take two (2) virtual classes: View Only Access: For View Only access to PennChart (online course): PennChart View Only HIPAA Training: All PennChart Users need HIPAA Training: Protecting Patient Information (HIPAA) Completion of the training will be recorded in your KnowledgeLink learning history. W e reco mmend you log into KnowledgeLink with your PennKey before clicking on any of the links. PennChart access request form: PennChart Access Request FormĪ UPHS sponsor will need to submit a Non-Payroll Resource request within PennforPeople before logging into KnowledgeLink to register for any PennChart classes (details in paragraph above). Please do not submit the form prior to re-registering the new hire for the required PennChart education in Knowledge Link. It is a separate form that needs to be submitted. The PennChart access request form does not live within PfP. To submit the request, the UPHS Sponsor will need the new hire’s Name, DOB and Penn ID. Once the new hire has a health system profile, the UPHS Sponsor can request training and access to PennChart. The UPHS sponsor should also request access to Knowledge Link on the same form. If you need access to any of the health system’s clinical systems, a UPHS Sponsor will need to submit a Non-Payroll Resource request within PennforPeople before logging into KnowledgeLink to register for any PennChart classes.
